cocoa beach, 2/25/16, hello friends, great to be back blogging! I’ve been on the road over the last few months, thankful to be playing to some awesome folks! played several shows with my buddies brent moyer and joe sun in the Sanibel/captiva island area off the southwest coast of florida. i’m honored to have been tapped by kristie anders of the Sanibel captiva conservation foundation to utilize my music to stimulate awareness of the needs of natural resources in the area. I’m calling out in song to folks to help clean up and protect the waterways; in particular, the Caloosahatchee river. near my home base of cocoa beach, fl., the indian river lagoon needs help too. in these efforts i’m singing some of my hand written songs such as “mother earth”, “waters of life”, “united we jam”, and “buddy can you spare some prime?” I’m also singing a brent moyer/j.robert tune called “Caloosahatchee flow” in this campaign.
back in November (4th), along with brent moyer, joe sun and ottar “big hand” johansen, I enjoyed playing a very gratifying show at the world famous bluebird café in Nashville. then we all went down to “flora-bama” on the ala./fla.line to play the frank brown international songwriters festival.
